Recommended Fabric

Natural or artificial silk, dress-weight viscose, crepe back satin, challis.

Choose dress-weight fabrics with the following properties:

- Medium-weight, pliable, soft, non-stretch or low-stretch, opaque;

- The fibre content can include natural fibres (silk), artificial fibres (viscose), blends (silk + polyester, polyester + viscose, etc.), and synthetics (polyester, polyester + elastane);

ATTENTION: Stretchy knit materials (jersey fabrics) or lightweight sheer fabrics (chiffon, organza, stretch lace) are NOT recommended.

Vikisews suggests cutting facings from the same fabric as the garment for a bias-cut design. This ensures fabric consistency and prevents deformation due to subtle material variations.
