The Eva Dress is a loose and comfortable style with a high-waisted bodice and a panelled, lantern-shaped skirt with side pockets. It comes in a short-sleeved or sleeveless version, making it versatile for any occasion.
Fabric Recommendations - Linen, medium weight crinkle linen, plain textured cotton, cotton blends and wool crepe
2️⃣ Chalk and Notch Patterns - Fringe Dress & Blouse
The Fringe pattern offers two different options for a dress or blouse, each with unique features. View A boasts a button-up front, elbow-length sleeves, and a sleeve tab. On the other hand, View B features a pull-over style, a notched front, and a cuff.
Fabric Recommendations - Light to medium weight woven fabric with a nice drape, such as rayon challis, rayon crepe, rayon voile, cotton lawn, cotton voile, cotton shirting, linen, double gauze.
3️⃣ Closet Core Patterns - Mitchell Trousers
The Mitchell trousers offer a contemporary twist to the classic pleated pants. Elegant yet comfortable, they come with distinctive features and are sure to become your favourite bottom wear.
Fabric Recommendations - For a more structured look, use a sturdy woven such as lightweight denim to midweight denim, twill and canvas, and midweight linen, cotton, and wool suiting. For a softer look, use midweight fabrics with drape, such as tencel twill, wool crepe, or silk noil.
4️⃣ Merchant & Mills - Factory Dress
The Factory Dress is a vintage-inspired, easy-fit dress with pockets, ready-rolled sleeves, and a slip-over-the-head design. Sizing is based on bust measurement for a comfortable fit, inspired by working women and the 1920s.
Fabric Recommendations - Linen, cotton drill, lightweight denim, fine wool, corduroy.
5️⃣ Sew House Seven - Remy Raglan Top
The Remy Raglan Top is a classic and effortless garment that can be swiftly crafted. It boasts a comfortable fit around the bust and waist, with a range of three sleeve styles and the added option of a keyhole button closure. Its design is timeless and uncomplicated.
Fabric Recommendations - Although the pattern recommends using lightweight linen, any lightweight woven fabric can be used. However, if you opt for a stiffer material such as cotton lawn, the neckline may appear narrower and the hemline may be more voluminous. It is best to choose a fabric with no discernible wrong side for the short sleeve option.
6️⃣ Friday Pattern Company - Patina Blouse
The Patina Blouse is a charming button-up top with a collar, a V-neckline, and full sleeves. The pattern offers a choice of short or long sleeves, with cuffs and continuous bound plackets. It also comes with two options for neckline depth.
Fabric Recommendations - Mid to lightweight woven fabrics such as cotton poplin, cotton lawn or linen, viscose challis or viscose poplin.
7️⃣ Megan Nielsen – Hovea Jacket & Coat
Hovea is a relaxed and comfortable drop shoulder jacket and coat pattern that provides multiple options. This pattern offers various lengths, deep angled pockets, and options for an unlined, fully lined, or quilted garment. Additionally, the pattern includes both belt and tie closures.
Fabric Recommendations - Light to medium weight fabrics such as cotton, linen, chambray, blends etc. are recommended for the quilted versions B, D & F.
Avoid thick fabrics or these versions can become bulky. Medium weight fabrics such as linen, cottons etc or medium to heavy weight coating fabrics such as boiled, felted or suiting wool are recommended for Views A, C & E. Prequilted fabrics are suitable for all views.
8️⃣ Style Arc - Mildred Jumpsuit
Make a fashion statement with the versatile "Mildred" all-season jumpsuit, which is perfect for those breezy summer days or cooler months when paired with your favourite sweater. The slip-on design is made with comfort in mind and features shoulder straps, wide legs, and a 7/8th length leg. The in-seam pockets are an added bonus for convenience.
Fabric Recommendations - Linen, Cord, Drill, Crepe or Denim.
9️⃣ Named Clothing - Kielo Wrap Dress & Jumpsuit
The Kielo dress and jumpsuit patterns offer a chic and comfortable style that you can easily make your own. Both variations can be sewn with or without sleeves, and the dress pattern includes a neckband and a vent at the back hem for ease of movement. The sleeveless version of the dress features armholes finished with bias binding. The jumpsuit pattern includes a vent with a button closure at the back and a neckline finished with a facing.
Fabric Recommendations - drapey yet sturdy jersey fabric that has about 30-50% stretch. However, be mindful that the garment already has a significant amount of volume, so using a fabric that is too stretchy or heavy can alter the proportions and cause the garment to lose its shape.
